Lawrence Wong, Partner / 王明武律师, 合伙人
Lawrence Wong, the Partner of Wong & Jiang LLP, brings over 46 years of real-world experience to serve clients in the Bay Area.
Mr. Wong has been admitted to practice law in the State of Idaho in 1976, and in California since June 23, 1978. Additionally, he has been admitted to practice law in the State of California, the Northern District of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the California Supreme Court, the International Trade Court, and the United States Tax Court.
Mr. Wong is experienced in presenting cases persuasively and engaging effectively with judges, juries, and opposing counsel. Mr. Wong pivots quickly in response to new information or changes in the courtroom dynamic.
Mr. Wong is knowledgeable in developing tailored strategies that align with clients' goals while considering the specifics of the case, potential risks, and the opposing party’s tactics.
Xiuping (Avery) Jiang, Partner / 合伙人
Ms. Jiang’s legal practice focuses on civil litigation, including contractual disputes, dissolution of marriage, personal injury matters, and other complex civil issues. She has substantial experience with pretrial motions, discovery, courtroom appearances, and preparing clients for depositions and trials. Ms. Jiang consistently demonstrates strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex legal matters effectively.
Ms. Jiang has a proven track record of high client satisfaction. As a client-focused attorney, she prioritizes understanding each client’s objectives and tailors her litigation strategies to align with their specific needs.
Before relocating to the United States, Ms. Jiang earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in law and served as a criminal court judge in China, gaining significant judicial experience. She later obtained her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Her extensive legal education and professional background provide a strong foundation for delivering effective and well-reasoned legal representation.
Yirong (Zoey) Zhou, Associate Attorney / 律师
Yirong (Zoey) Zhou is a distinguished attorney at Wong & Jiang LLP, bringing extensive expertise in both domestic and international law. She holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Oregon and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law from the University of Southern California. During her time in law school, Zoey served as a board member of the Oregon Review of International Law. She also earned both a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Law degree in China, equipping her with a deep understanding of cross-border legal matters.
Her career began in Shanghai, where she gained significant experience as a litigation lawyer at a leading Intellectual Property law firm. She further broadened her legal expertise during an internship in the legal department of a global tech company in Palo Alto. Zoey’s diverse background and international perspective enable her to adeptly handle complex legal challenges across multiple jurisdictions.
Fluent in English and Mandarin, Zoey ensures seamless communication with her clients. Her dedication to excellence and problem-solving skills make her an invaluable resource in navigating intricate legal issues. In her spare time, Zoey enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, and traveling, as well as cooking for family and friends.
